Choose the oils according to your skin type (see "The right oil for your skin type" in post) and your liking.
Add the chosen oils and essential oils, if using, to a clean, ideally tinted (amber) glass bottle, close the lid and give it a good shake. Done!
How to use
Apply a small amount of oil (about hazelnut size diameter) to your face and massage it in a circular motion for about 3-5 minutes.
Wet a washcloth with warm or hot water and remove the oil from your face. If you prefer or if your skin still feels oily, use a gentle, natural face wash to get rid of the last bits.
Finish by applying my DIY face serum and/or my DIY face cream.
Notes
Carrier Oils: Please read through the post (under 'ingredients'/'which oils to use') what oils you should pick for your skin type and what mix would suit you best! The list is too long to fit into this recipe.Essential Oils: Tea tree, lemongrass, lavender and citrus oils (lemon, lime, sweet orange) are great for cleansing your face. See post ('ingredients'/'essential oils') for a more detailed explanation (again, it's a bit too long to fit in here). For this recipe, I'm using a 0.5% dilution (8 drops/60ml (2oz.)). If you want to use a different amount for your oil cleanser, use this handy dilution chart to adapt the drops of essential oils accordingly. Always use a 0.5% dilution for your face!!
