Banana Honey Face Mask
Prep Time 5 minutes
Leave on for 15 minutes
Total Time 20 minutes
Makes 6 treatments

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana
  • ½ - 1 tablespoon honey raw; ideally from a local beekeeper!

Instructions

How To Make The Mask

  • For this banana honey face mask, peel the ripe banana, break it into smaller pieces and place it in a bowl. Add honey.
  • Mash the banana with a fork until smooth and even (tiny pieces are absolutely fine). If you prefer a smoother result, use a stick blender to puree the banana.

How To Use The Mask

  • Always wash your face first with a mild cleanser or warm water to get rid of any dirt on your skin. Pat dry your face with a towel.
  • Apply the banana honey mixture all over your face (and neck, if you like), leaving out the eye area, mouth and nose (around the nostrils).
  • Let the mask do its magic for about 15-20 minutes. Afterwards, remove the banana and honey with a warm and wet washer. Rinse your face (and neck) with warm water to get rid of any residue.
  • Finish with a thin layer of moisturiser. You’ll notice that you won’t need as much because the face mask will nourish your skin plenty.

Notes

Storage: You can store the leftover face mask in an airtight container in the fridge for at least a week. Alternatively, you can freeze this face pack for up to 12 months. I freeze mine in an ice cube tray so I have the right amount to defrost.
Warnings: Please read the safety and warnings chapter (just above this recipe card) before using this face mask!
